We have just installed the new ThEX Blog. This facility is open to all Needers, Givers, and those who are just visiting the site. The Blog is not moderated so please be mindful of others as you create and post your article or comments to others’ articles. We encourage lively discussions on how ThEX can help those in need, and meet the needs of Givers as well. It’s also important to use the Blog to spread the word about ThEX. The more the site is known, the more folks will be helped. Click the “Blog” on the black banner above, and give it a try.

ThEX was asked to create a discussion board so all Givers and Needers could communicate in a public place. We thought it was a good idea so the FORuM was created. You can access it right above here. Just click, and post your thoughts. We hope your open discussion will help The Helping Exchange meet more needs of both Givers and Needers. And, your good ideas will be incorporated on the site. Also, don't forget to tell others about ThEX so they can benefit from this unique marketplace.

Because you asked, as of now there is no posting fee for needs up to $200. From $200 to $500 the posting fee is $15, and over $500 the posting fee is the original $25. We’ll monitor this for some time to determine if these tiers should be adjusted. If you have other ideas or advice, we ask that you share your thoughts with others, and post them on the FORuM.

ThEX was just contacted by the Disabled Veterans Committee on Housing, a Virginia organization that helps our soldiers--in so many ways--to get back on their feet. DVCH will introduce ThEX to their contacts, and provide a link to ThEX on the DVCH site. This wi
ll give our disabled veterans an additional source for financial help. Visit their site www.dvchvets.org to learn about the challenges they face, and the help they provide.
ThEX is pleased to report our working with Operation First Response, an organization that helps our wounded service members. Visit their site www.operationfirstresponse.org to see the great work they are doing. OFR has put a link to ThEX on their site so that our service personnel in need of financial aid can benefit from The Helping Exchange.
Unbeknownst to ThEX, a Lafayette College student wrote a final exam paper on The Helping Exchange for his religion class. It’s an interesting read. Click here to access the paper.
